Jeff's Background: Over 20 years of financial management with continued career progress and key accomplishments in financial operations, accounting, information systems management, strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Hagan Benefits, Inc - Sioux Falls, SD Controller and Executive Vice President - (1996 - present) I've worn a number of hats while at Hagan Benefits, Inc.; however, the bulk of my time has been as Controller and Executive Vice President. As Controller I streamlined account procedures enabling us to produce more timely and meaningful financial statements and projections. I produced monthly statements for four companies and one health insurance pool as well as supervised the accounting staff. As Controller I was responsible for cash management of the company and primary banking relations. I assisted the Vice President with personnel issues, office management and corporate strategies. After a couple of years I was promoted to Executive Vice President. In this role, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of all entities under Hagan Benefits. This gives Mike Hagan more time to do what benefits our organization most, which is to meet with current and prospective clients. Enabling Mike to be out of the office more, without being pulled into all the day to day activities, increases his ability to market our services. I lead a team of three outstanding senior managers in corporate strategic planning and the day to day operations. Maintenance Engineering - Fargo, ND Controller - (5 Years) I was responsible for the monthly review and presentation of financial statements for two companies and four divisions with the President and other management staff. Following that, I developed and implemented geographical financial projections by sales region, was responsible for cash management and banking relations, supervised 10 people in three different departments, and assisted the human resource director in monitoring and decisions involving our self-funded health insurance program.
