 Hagan Benefits, Inc. Bios  Dana M. Hagen Director of Information Systems and Pension - Hagan Benefits, Inc. Dana's Background: Over eighteen years of programming, system development and network management. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Hagan Benefits, Inc - Sioux Falls, SD Director of Information Systems and Capella Pension - (1996 - present) My primary job with Hagan Benefits is to plan, design, deploy and administer Information Technologies. In conjunction with this, I successfully implemented flexible and scaleable technologies that allow our systems to grow with the business. I also developed and managed all areas of Capella Pension Recordkeeping division. On the customer side I develop custom applications and reports that satisfy the unique needs of our clients. Within the company, I conduct software and network training classes and provide resources for self-paced learning to all staff. As Hagan Benefits is prepared to respond to events from the smallest problem to a full off-sight disaster recovery plan, my job also entails maintaining strategic relations with local and national information technology companies to provide reliable and stable systems in the event of any situation. Resource Information Management Systems (RIMS) - Naperville, IL Senior Programmer & Technical System Specialist - (2 Years) At RIMS, I was initially given the opportunity to be the primary custom programmer and troubleshooter for the Professional Services group, which supported the largest Third Party Administrators (TPA) throughout the United States. Eventually, I supported and developed reports using Intelligent Query Software. Other technologies I used were Micro Focus COBOL, Quick Basic and IQ on Novell networks and 5 separate Unix platforms. My responsibilities as technical systems specialist involved 24-hour systems and technical applications support to over 150 clients throughout the United States, conducting training classes on IQ at RIMS and client sites, developing critical solutions in a production environment, and traveling to client sites as needed to perform critical application support, debugging and training. I also developed file utility programs utilized by clients and RIMS employees. Policy Management Systems Corporation (P.M.S.C.) - Bloomingdale, IL Programmer/Analyst & Senior Programmer - (4 years) My primary client was Cigna Health Systems, but I also worked with many of the Blue Cross systems throughout the United States. During this time I successfully coded and tested large online tasks consisting of adding new processes to payment and eligibility systems using COBOL II, DB2 and command level CICS. My responsibilities as Production Support Supervisor were 24-hour support of production online systems and nightly batch cycle. This required a strong knowledge of the entire system and the ability to debug and resolve problems in a timely manner. ECCO, Inc. - Madison, SD Computer Operator - (2 years) For ECCO, I created PC-based databases that automated medical appointment dates, prescription cut-off dates and client medical history information. I also processed payroll and accounts payable and receivable.
